Development and Applications of Electric Vehicle Charging Profiles

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present a methodology for generating electric vehicle (EV) charging profiles based on real-world data. The approach dynamically adjusts charging behaviour to daily travel needs and available charging time. A battery cycle counting method is introduced to track charge and discharge cycles. Case study results demonstrate the method’s ability to simulate realistic charging scenarios. The paper also discusses practical applications, including grid impact analysis, household energy optimization, and analysis of new grid fee tariffs.
