Abstract
This paper describes an approach powers flow
control for an electrical network connected with a wind farm. In this
work the powers flow control are performed through a Static Synchronous
Series Compensator (SSSC) which is one of among Flexible AC Transmission
System devices (FACTS). The wind farm is based on doubly-fed induction
generators (DFIG). The simulation results show the effectiveness of the
proposed approach making better the damping of power oscillations caused
by the wind farm, ensuring the minimizing system transmission losses while
providing a best voltage level. The simulations are done in MATLAB/ Simulink/
SimPowerSystems environment.
