Abstract

This article demonstrates the potential application of orthogonal vector theory to the design and control of complex systems with three-phase inverters. The paper presents the interaction of a three-level inverter with a two-level inverter using two control strategies. The obtained results are presented in the form of simulation studies. The analyses show that the complex voltage inverter with a simplified control strategy allows for higher RMS voltage values with lower THD.

Key words: space vector; vector orthogonality; three-phase OVT inverter; fundamental harmonic.
